Privacy Notice

Last updated: 18 October 2026

Dakika, the Israel-based seller and operator of DAKIKA, is the data controller for personal data used to operate this service. Paddle is separately responsible for personal data it handles as Merchant of Record.

Account and subscription information

When you sign in through Google, we receive account identifiers, email and available profile information. Authentication tokens are used to keep you signed in. We use these to provide accounts, save your wheels and secure access (contract performance and legitimate interests). Subscription identifiers, status and billing-period information received from Paddle are used to administer Plus access and meet legal obligations. Paddle collects payment information under its own privacy notice; Dakika does not store full card details.

Your wheels, results and progress

We process wheel names, options and settings that you save to provide the service (contract performance). Signed-in wheels are stored with your account. Guest wheels, arcade history, replay settings, favourites and language preferences are stored on your device. Daily completion dates and progress are stored using a random guest identifier rather than your name. Avoid entering sensitive personal information about yourself or others. Sharing a result sends the text you choose to the recipient or app you select.

Technical data and support

Hosting, authentication and diagnostic services may process IP addresses, device and browser information, timestamps, request records and error diagnostics. These support delivery, security, fraud prevention and fixing failures (legitimate interests). If you send a support enquiry, its contact details and message are used to respond (legitimate interests or contract performance). We do not use your wheel content for advertising.

Who receives data

Service providers include our cloud hosting provider for hosting, account authentication, storage and diagnostics; Google for your selected sign-in; and Google Fonts for font delivery, which receives connection information such as your IP address. Paddle receives data needed for product sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. We may share necessary information with professional legal or accounting advisers, or authorities when required by law. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Account information and saved account wheels are kept while needed to provide your account and are deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, subject to legal and security requirements. Deleted wheels are removed from active storage; backup copies may remain until backups expire. Subscription records are retained as needed for billing, disputes and legal obligations. Guest daily progress is retained while needed to provide progress. Arcade history is limited to the most recent 100 results on your device; local data remains until you delete it or clear site storage. Support and diagnostic records are kept only as long as needed for their purpose.

Cookies and local storage

We use an essential HttpOnly guest cookie (dakika_guest, up to one year) for private daily progress and browser storage for sign-in, language, saved wheels, favourites and arcade history. These are functional or essential, not advertising trackers. There are currently no optional marketing or analytics cookies added by DAKIKA. You can clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser; this may sign you out and erase local wheels, history or the link to guest progress. Sign-in and payment providers may use their own cookies under their policies.

Security and international processing

We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls and restricted access to account records. No system is completely secure. Providers may process data outside Israel or your country. Where applicable law requires it, transfers rely on recognised adequacy arrangements or appropriate contractual safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses for UK/EEA data.

Your rights

Under applicable Israeli privacy law, you may request access to and correction of personal information and have other rights provided by law. Where GDPR or similar law applies, rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent without affecting prior lawful processing. You may complain to your local supervisory authority, including the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority where applicable. Requests subject to GDPR are normally answered within one month, subject to lawful extensions. Privacy requests should be addressed to Dakika; for a purchase, seller contact details can be obtained through your Paddle receipt or Paddle support. Requests concerning Paddle’s own payment records should be sent to Paddle.
